Ethan never treated his C6 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 as a finished project. The car returned to the tuning shop several times, gaining more output with every visit. This latest round moved the build far beyond stock territory, ending with 1,392 rear-wheel horsepower and 1,038 pound-feet of rear-wheel torque on the dyno.
Late Model Racecraft handled the transformation. The tuner installed an F1X ProCharger, custom air-to-water intercoolers, and a custom McLeod clutch. Work on the TR6060 manual transmission helped prepare the drivetrain for the added load. Boost pressure also went up. No ice was used during the dyno pull, despite the final output landing close to 1,400 rear-wheel horsepower.
Cooling still received serious attention. An ice tank sits in the trunk and sends water through two intercoolers, one mounted on each side. The purpose is simple, keeping temperatures under control when the engine works under extreme pressure. The setup delivered its dyno result without overheating.
The original C6 Z06 left the factory with an LS7 427-cubic-inch, 7.0-liter V8. Stock output stood at 505 horsepower, or 512 metric horsepower, along with 470 pound-feet, or 637 Newton meters, of torque. Factory performance included 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. The quarter mile took 111.7 seconds, while top speed reached 198 mph, or 319 kph.
Those figures stopped satisfying Ethan long ago. The build developed gradually, rather than arriving as one large conversion. Each return to the shop brought another step, and this visit produced the largest one so far. Stock performance had disappeared from the conversation by then.
Stephen from Late Model Racecraft drove the Corvette after the work was complete. The test served as a final check for reliability and safety before delivery. Traction control stayed active during some acceleration runs. Even with street registration and massive output, the car showed no overheating during the drive.
The reactions inside the cabin said plenty. Stephen sounded startled by the speed, despite knowing every part of the build. The cameraman decided he would never ride in the Corvette again after the test. Ethan still took the passenger seat for the first drive, then moved behind the wheel.
