This One-Off Ferrari 12Cilindri Blends Italian Engineering With Korean Artistic Identity

Ferrari doesn’t build many cars like this, and that’s sort of the point. The Tailor Made 12Cilindri shown here is a true one-off, developed specifically for the South Korean market and shaped by a group of Korean artists. It isn’t a limited edition or a preview of something to come. It exists on its own, and Ferrari seems comfortable leaving it that way.

Exterior

Like any Ferrari model, the 12Cilindri is also standing out with an exclusive design language, thanks to the sharp lines all around the body. However, what sets it apart from the standard model is the special finish – it`s an iridescent paint called “Yoonsuel”, a special color shifting between purple and green, with blue highlights, depending on the light and angle. This special paint draws inspiration from Korean tradition and refers to the way sunlight reflects off the sea.

There’s also a graphic element applied to the bodywork. The pattern is derived from the sound signature of Ferrari’s V12 engine and rendered using a darker variation of the same Yoonsuel paint. It’s not immediately obvious, which may be intentional.

Interior

Inside, the focus moves firmly away from conventional luxury materials. Textile artist Daehye Jeong introduced handwoven Mongolian horsehair into the cabin, a material that appears on the seats, floors, and other interior surfaces. Ferrari used this three-dimensional fabric for the first time on this project.

The pattern continues upward, literally, as it is screen-printed into the glass roof, creating a changing interplay of light and shadow inside the cabin. Another first appears on the dashboard, where a handwoven horsehair artwork is permanently integrated as an original art object.

Artist Hyunhee Kim contributed transparent reinterpretations of traditional Korean objects, shaping details such as the Scuderia Ferrari shields, wheel center caps, model lettering, and the Cavallino Rampante. A modified center tunnel and a handmade dedication plaque with calligraphic script add to the sense that nothing here was left untouched. Even the trunk contains a traditional Korean storage object designed to function as luggage, along with a specially created Ferrari key.

White serves as a unifying interior theme. That includes white brake calipers, offered on a production Ferrari for the first time, and white shift paddles.

Powertrain

Beneath the artwork sits the standard technical foundation of the Ferrari 12Cilindri. The car uses a front-mounted 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 830 horsepower. It revs to 9,500 rpm, accelerates from 0–62 mph in around 3.0 seconds, and reaches a top speed above 211 mph.

Conclusion

Ferrari says the project took nearly two years to complete, and that timeline shows in the details. Rather than chasing spectacle, this one-off 12Cilindri feels more like a cultural conversation translated into metal, fabric, and paint. It may not redefine what a Ferrari is, but it quietly expands what one can be.
